Posted on Apr 25, 2020 02:09 PM by Rethwisch, Maria Catherine
Dear Families,

You may enjoy learning about the saints together during this time! I have listed a few saints connected to illness and epidemics. There are also many sources for a daily saint! It's good to remember our heavenly friends are with us right now, while we are physically separated from each other, they are spiritually close and present.

May: Month of Mary!
Pope Francis is encouraging us to pray the Rosary during May to stay united in Our Lady and Our Lord!:

Saint of the Day:

Patron Saints of the Plague

St. Aloysius Gonzaga (young Jesuit who caught the plague while caring for the sick) https://www.franciscanmedia.org/saint-aloysius-gonzaga/
St. Catherine of Siena (nursed in the hospitals during the plague in Siena, so great to ask for her powerful prayers at this time of illness!)
